Itty-Bitty DOS Game Canvases: Bazaar of the Bizarre 2018 Edition

Once again we come together for my favourite holiday market in Toronto.

Every winter the Bazaar of the Bizarre sets up shop at Pia Bouman School of Ballet (6 Noble St., Toronto).

With three rooms packed with dozens of exhibitors, there is something for everyone!

Bazaar of the Bizarre Frostbite 2018 Saturday December 15th

Like the past couple years, I’ll be filling the niche of gift shopping for your smart-ass geeky friend who knows everything and wants nothing.

Tough crowd.

The itty-bitty DOS game canvases are the perfect intersection of cute & retro nostalgia for everyone from casual gamers to the computing pioneers that designed your PCB and chipsets.

How many of these canvases do you recognize?

Check out my instagram page to see closeups of each one and read commentary on the history of each game.

Come find me this Saturday at the Bazaar and pick up your favourite.

DOS game nostalgia @ Bazaar of the Bizarre: FrostBite Edition 2017

The itty bitty DOS game canvases have been wildly successful.

I’ve received such amazing feedback on them and many commissions throughout the year.

A new set will be ready for your viewing (and pawing) pleasure at the upcoming Bazaar of the Bizarre: FrostBite edition 2017.

Scroll down for a preview of new DOS Gamer Nostalgia canvases!

Plus come see many new original watercolour pieces and prints of older collections including the Live Wire Series!

I love this arts and crafts show so much!

It’s a wonderful community event, where many local designers, jewellers, artists, tinkerers and makers gather to network and share their wares. The December edition is the perfect time to score unique gifts and get inspired for the holiday season.

Join us December 10th at 6 Noble Street, on Queen Street West just west of Dufferin.

Free admission all day!

The Bazaar of the Bizarre is brought to you by premier community supporter Plastik Wrap.

The Small Arts and Crafts Market Roundup – Winter 2015

‘Tis the season of bestowal, and here is a reminder to support small local artisans and businesses, while sourcing some of the most unique and impactful gifts for your friends and family.

The One of a Kind Crafts Show starts today at the Exhibition Place and runs until December 6th (thanks for the FOURTEEN email notifications, guys).  If you’ve never attended before, check it out – it’s like a real life instantiation of Etsy, with dozens and vendors and special exhibits.

OKS may be a Toronto tradition, as is the Distillery District Christmas Market but these events are hardly exclusive; December is the month for all sorts of pop-up shops, local crafts markets and art shows.

I rounded up a couple of the events I’m really excited about in the upcoming weeks – but this is an open invitation to collaborate and promote!

If you know of another small crafts show or vendor event, please share!
