Dessert is always a challenge as my girlfriend is not a fan of “sweets” (I know *gasp*)… unless of course they’re wrapped in bacon. I should mention, this is the only way I’ve gotten her to ingest fruit this year other than our notorious Smooth Buzzies.
Bacon Wrapped Strawberries
- 4 strawberries
- 4 strips of bacon
- a few pieces of fresh pineapple
Do I really need to explain?
Wrap strawberries in bacon. Secure with picks. Insert in oven at 350 for 20 minutes or until the bacon looks cooked.
For extra crispiness remove from oven and place in preheated pan on medium high to sear the edges of the bacon. Douse with a splash of pineapple juice.
Garnish with pineapple and serve.
